In the early morning hours on 4/3/15, Sharps Chapel VFD responded to a structure fire. Engine 51 and Engine 52 both responded to the blaze. Upon arrival, units found the old post office building and store on Dr. Davis Rd. over half involved with fire. Units were on scene for over 3 hours battling the fire. The building was being used as a home and was occupied at the time of the fire. Everyone made it out of the building safely and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
