SCVFD Visits Sharps Chapel Elementary for Fire Prevention Week
The Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department made their yearly visit to Sharps Chapel Elementary School this past week for Fire Prevention Day at the School. Chief Chris Upton along with Deputy Chief Mason Simpson, Lt. Adam Brantley and Probie Johnathon Brogan met with each class to discuss fire safety. This years theme was for each student to know 2 ways out in case of fire. Students were each given fire prevention materials, books and goodies as they all got to see one of the fire trucks. Several students asked questions about the firefighters and what they do. Students also got to demonstrate Stop, Drop, Cover your face and Roll. The students ended the day with a fire drill at the school.
