Sharps Chapel Fire Department Receives Grant Funds for New Medic Gear Bags

The Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department recently received grant funding from the Firefighters Charitable Foundation to assist them in purchasing (3) three new medic bags for their response vehicles. Chief Chris Upton said they had recently applied for the grant to upgrade current medic bags that were carried on the trucks. The older bags had been used for several years and were in bad condition. Upton said these new bags were more durable and easier for the first responders to carry and use when responding to first responder calls in the area. Upton said he and the department would like to thank the Firefighters Charitable Foundation for this new equipment.
