Around 1:00 PM on 8/12/15, Sharps Chapel VFD was dispatched to an overturned log truck on Sharps Chapel Rd. near Dr. Davis Rd. Rescue 51 and Engine 51 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, fire units discovered that the driver was out of the truck and had no injuries. The driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve and was unable to regain control. Firefighters were on scene for a few hours for traffic control and scene safety until the truck and logs were cleared from the scene and the roadway was reopened.
